If you’ve been around the Yellow Box anytime is the last 150 years you know Bill Carroll.  He’s been at Community about that long and his impact has been felt by many.  You also probably know that Bill and his family are moving Paris to plant a church.  That’s France not Paris, Illinois.  So in order to send him off in true Community Christian fashion we’re going to have a friendly roast of him along with some song and general fun.  If you’re one of those people who Bill’s impacted we’d love to have you come out for the roast.  Info is below.  Hope to see you there.

We had a great weekend at the Yellow Box.  Here are the pictures to prove it.  I’m just realizing that I didn’t get any pictures from the theater service.  That makes me sad.  But here are some from the gym.  Thanks to everybody who served this weekend.

Over the past year we’ve done some pretty serious renovation in our gymnatorium where we have four of our weekend services.  It’s been a long process and we’ve still got a little more to go, but it’s come a long way.  Here are some before and after photos.  This year we’ve painted the gym from dentist office white to a much more appealing dark grey, ditched the white drapery in the back for a black curtain, installed four intelligent lights, upgraded from PC’s to an iMac and ProPresenter, moved from an ETC lighting console to a Avolites, and I’m sure a few more things I’m forgetting.  All in all I’m pretty pleased with where we are.  Thanks TJ.
